Teacher Grant

Have a great class project idea? Each Spring and Fall our credit union Awards 10 Teacher Grants of $500 Each.

We support teachers who want to make a difference with our bi-annual Teacher Grant Program. We are pleased to support the education community by offering our Teacher Grant Program. The Grant is designed to assist educators by funding innovative learning opportunities for their students.

Since the creation of the program in 2012, more than $55,000 has been awarded to schools throughout Los Angeles County. Schools benefitting from last year’s program used the funds towards initiatives such as special education, business concepts, solar energy, water conservation and literacy.

Rookie of the Year

In partnership with the Los Angeles Unified School District, California Credit Union created the Rookie of the Year program to honor first-year educators who have shown an exemplary commitment to education. Since its inception in 2015, California Credit Union has recognized 77 LAUSD first-year teachers. On August 5, 2018, 18 Rookies of the Year were hosted at a Los Angeles Sparks basketball game where they were celebrated on court during pre-game activities. Congratulations to the 2018 Rookies of the Year.
